We're thrilled to announce the release of NOMAD System Version 3.5.0, a significant milestone in our journey toward revolutionizing NMR data management. With this new version, we introduce the highly anticipated feature of collections which was the last feature on the list to complete the pursuit of refactoring Version 2 into entirely new codebase.

I try to keep up with something that it seems to become a tradition and release another major upgrade just before summer holidays. The new NOMAD version 3.3.0 brings couple of major upgrades.

  • Gateway for adding NMR data that have been acquired without IconNMR automated workflow
  • Ability to open FIDs from datastore in NMRium

It has a been a while since I made the last post here. Last autumn was generally busy with many things. Moreover, I entered few rabbit holes and it took me a while to get through and wrap everything into the new release. The version v3.2.2 brings only very small changes that can be seen from the user perspective. However, some rather substantial changes were done under the hood.

I have been swamped by quite few things right now. So, this is going to be only a very short post to mark another big milestone in NOMAD development.

We have been using NOMAD with datastore function on production server for over 2 weeks and successfully archived over 3000 experiments without any glitch. Datastore function now includes essential data search engine and data can be directly opened in NMRium. Furthermore, results of NMR data analysis can be stored back in datastore in NMRium format. All code currently running on our production server has been released on GitHub as version 3.1.0 and the documentation for server and spectrometer client installation has been updated.

Obviously, there is still a lot of work to build a system that would seamlessly take NMR data from inception to publication. However, the current state of development makes me think that this is just a question of time.

I plan to use this blog to announce new features, releases or just to post about my ideas for future development. Since this is my first post here I will try to explain little bit of the background of this project and outline where I would like to take it in near and also distant future.
